- With two verses beginning with kāṇḍāt kāṇḍāt….1 the Adhvaryu places the Dūrvā brick2 i.e. a green bunch of Dūrvā grass along with the clod of earth (in which it is grown) one of the points of which have not been cut3 in such a manner as the point of it when placed will reach to the naturally perforated stone (brick).
