विश्वास-प्रस्तुतिः
अथ पञ्च पञ्चरात्रा भवन्ति - संवत्सराख्यः प्रथमः, अभ्यासंग्यो द्वितीयः, उपशारद स्तृतीयः, अन्तर्महाव्रतश् चतुर्थः, पुरुषमेधः पञ्चमः । इतरे त्व् अभ्यासंग्यादयः पञ्चरात्राश् शाखान्तरे द्रष्टव्याः ।
संवत्सराख्यः = (त्रिवृद् अग्निष्टोमः, पञ्चदश उक्थ्यः, सप्तदश उक्थ्यः, २५, विश्वजित्)।

विश्वास-प्रस्तुतिः
सव्ँ॒व॒त्स॒रो वा इ॒दम् एक॑ +++(ऋत्वादिविभागरहितः)+++ आसीत् ।
सो॑ऽकामयत॒र्तून्त् सृ॑जे॒येति।
स ए॒तम् प॑ञ्चरा॒त्रम् अ॑पश्यत् । तम् आह॑रत् । तेना॑यजत । ततो॒ वै स ऋ॒तून॑सृजत ।
य ए॒वव्ँवि॒द्वान् प॑ञ्चरा॒त्रेण॒ यज॑ते, प्रैव जा॑यते ।

The year was alone in the world.
He desired, ‘May I create the seasons.’
He saw this five-night rite; he grasped it and sacrificed with it. Then indeed he created the seasons.
He who- knowing thus offers the five-night rite gains offspring.

त ऋ॒तव॑स् सृ॒ष्टा न व्याव॑र्तन्त ।
त ए॒तम् प॑ञ्चरा॒त्रम् अ॑पश्यन् । तमाह॑र॒न् । तेना॑यजन्त । ततो॒ वै ते व्याव॑र्तन्त ।
य ए॒वव्ँ वि॒द्वान् प॑ञ्चरा॒त्रेण॒ यज॑ते॒ , वि पा॒प्मना॒ भ्रातृ॑व्ये॒णा व॑र्तते ।

The seasons being created were not distinguished.
They saw this five-night rite. They grasped it and sacrificed with it. Then they were distinguished [1].
He who knowing thus offers the five-night rite is distinguished from the enemy that hates him.

सार्व॑सेनिश् शौचे॒यो॑ ऽकामयत - पशु॒मान्त् स्या॒म् इति॑ ।
स ए॒तम् प॑ञ्चरा॒त्रमाह॑रत् । तेना॑यजत । ततो॒ वै स स॒हस्र॑म् प॒शून् प्राप्नो॑त् ।
य ए॒वव्ँ वि॒द्वान् प॑ञ्चरा॒त्रेण॒ यज॑ते॒ , प्र स॒हस्र॑म् प॒शूना॑प्नोति ।

Sarvaseni Çauceya desired, ‘May I be rich in cattle.’
He grasped this five-night rite and sacrificed with it. Then indeed he obtained a thousand cattle.
He who knowing thus offers the five-night rite obtains a thousand cattle.

बब॒रᳶ प्रावा॑हणिर् अकामयत - “वा॒चᳶ प्र॑वदि॒ता स्या॒म् इति॑” । स ए॒तम् प॑ञ्चरा॒त्रमाह॑रत् [37] । तेना॑यजत । ततो॒ वै स वा॒चᳶ प्र॑वदि॒ता ऽभ॑वद् । य ए॒वव्ँ वि॒द्वान् प॑ञ्चरा॒त्रेण॒ यज॑ते, प्रवदि॒तैव वा॒चो भ॑वति । अथो॑ एनव्ँ वा॒चस्पति॒रित्या॑हुः ।

Babara Pravahani desired, ‘May I be a speaker of speech.’
He grasped the five-night rite [2] and sacrificed with it. Then indeed he became a speaker of speech.
He, who knowing thus offers the five-night rite, becomes a speaker of speech, and men call him ’lord of speech’.
विश्वास-प्रस्तुतिः
अना॑प्तश् चतूरा॒त्रो, ऽति॑रिक्तष् षड्रा॒त्रः +++(यतः - पञ्चाक्षरा पङ्क्तिः पाङ्क्तो यज्ञः इति वक्ष्यते)+++।
अथ॒ वा ए॒ष स॑म्प्र॒ति य॒ज्ञो यत् प॑ञ्चरा॒त्रः ।
य ए॒वव्ँ वि॒द्वान् प॑ञ्चरा॒त्रेण॒ यज॑ते, सम्प्र॒त्य् ए॑व य॒ज्ञेन॑ यजते ।

The four-night rite is incomplete; the six-night rite is redundant,
the correct sacrifice is the five-night rite.
He who knowing thus sacrifices with the five-night rite sacrifices with the correct sacrifice.

There is an Agnistoma characterized by the Trivrt (Stoma); verily he wins brilliance.
There is a Pañcadaśa (Stoma); verily he wins power.
There is a Saptadaśa (Stoma), for the obtainment of food; verily also he gains offspring by reason of it.
