विश्वास-प्रस्तुतिः
अग्निर्वा एष वैश्वानरः पञ्चमेनिर्यत्पुरोहितः ।

(Agni Protects the King who Appoints a House-priest.)
This Agni Vaiśvānara, who is the Purohita, is possessed of five destructive powers.
मूलम्
अग्निर्वा एष वैश्वानरः पञ्चमेनिर्यत्पुरोहितः ।
विश्वास-प्रस्तुतिः
ताभी राजानं परिगृह्य तिष्ठति समुद्र इव भूमिम् ।
Haug
With them he surrounds the king (for his defence), just as the sea surrounds the earth.
मूलम्
ताभी राजानं परिगृह्य तिष्ठति समुद्र इव भूमिम् ।
विश्वास-प्रस्तुतिः
अयुवमार्यस्य राष्ट्रं भवति ।
Haug
The empire of such a ruler (ārya) will be safe.

अयुवमार्यस्य राष्ट्रं भवति ।

नैनं पुरा ऽऽयुषः प्राणो जहात्याजरसं जीवति सर्वमायुरेति ।
Haug
Neither will he die before the expiration of the full life term (100 years); but live up to his old age, and enjoy the full term apportioned for his life.

विश्वास-प्रस्तुतिः
न पुनर्म्रियते यस्यैवं विद्वान्ब्राह्मणो राष्ट्रगोपः पुरोहितः ।

Nor will he die again (for he is free from being born again as a mortal), if he has a Brāhmaṇa who possesses such a knowledge as his Purohita, and guardian of his empire;

न पुनर्म्रियते यस्यैवं विद्वान्ब्राह्मणो राष्ट्रगोपः पुरोहितः ।
विश्वास-प्रस्तुतिः
क्षत्त्रेण क्षत्त्रं जयति बलेन बलमश्नुते यस्यैवं विद्वान्ब्राह्मणो राष्ट्रगोपः पुरोहितः ।

for he obtains by means (of his own) royal dignity that (for another, his son), and by means of his bravery that (of another).

क्षत्त्रेण क्षत्त्रं जयति बलेन बलमश्नुते यस्यैवं विद्वान्ब्राह्मणो राष्ट्रगोपः पुरोहितः ।

तस्मै विशः सञ्जानते सम्मुखा एकमनसो यस्यैवं विद्वान्ब्राह्मणो राष्ट्रगोपः पुरोहितः ।

The subjects of such a king obey him unanimously and undivided.
