उपदेशस्य तथात्वात् चिह्नानि त्वर्चिरादयः सरणेः ।
नैतत् गमयितृशब्दात् उपरि परेऽप्यातिवाहिका हि स्युः ॥ 32 ॥

4.3.4 आतिवाहिकाधिकरणम् The prima facie view is : the enumeration of light etc., are mere signposts on the way to the world of Brahman. This view is wrong. The presiding deities of light etc., are meant here. In the concluding passage of the छान्दोग्य it is stated that there is a super human person leads the one who meditates upon Brahman from lighting to the world of Brahman. वरुण Indra and प्रजापति assist him in this process.
