41 पुरुषार्थाधिकरणम्

3.4.1 पुरुषार्थाधिकरणम् Knowledge of Brahman purifies the agent of sacrificial acts, and, thus knowledge becomes subsidiary to sacrificial acts. It is only the sacrificial acts that leads to the supreme human end. The view set forth in the foregoing paragraph is not sound. The वेदान्त texts teach Brahman who is the self of the Individual soul. It is only knowledge which is meditation upon Brahman that leads to liberation and sacrificial acts are only subsidiary to meditation upon Brahman.
