‘शं नो मित्रे’त्याद्या मन्त्रा विद्याङ्गं अन्तिकामननात् ।
न हि, शुक्रादिकमन्त्रवदध्ययनाङ्गं तथैव सामर्थ्यात् ॥ 30 ॥

3.3.10 वेधाद्यधिकरणम् The prima facie view is : the mantra-s such as ‘Let the presiding deity of the Day grant औस्पिचिओउसूएस्स् to us’, and the like form parts of the meditations as they are mentioned in close proximity to the latter. This view is not correct. These mantra-s are only subsidiaries to vedic study like the texts - ‘pierce the शुक्र etc., are subsidiaries to certain magical rites. Notes : 1. Taitt. Up., 1. 2.
