3.1.1 तदन्तरप्रतिपत्त्यधिकरणम्
न भूतसूक्ष्मैः सह याति देही तवैव तेषां सुलभत्वहेतोः ।
नैवैवं ‘आप पुरुषा भवन्ति’ इत्येवं श्रुतत्वात् सह तैः प्रयाति ॥ 1 ॥

3.1.1 तदन्तरप्रतिपत्त्यधिकरणम् The prima facie view is : when the soul goes to the other world, the subtle sense - organs do not go along with him; for, the soul can have fresh sense - organs in that world itself. This objection is set aside on the strength of the text1 ‘vettha यथा पञ्चम्याहुतावापः पुरुष vacaso bhavanti’ from which it is understood that they accompany the soul. Notes : The soul while going to the other world carries along with it the subtle parts of the gross elements of which water is the predominent. See छान्द् Up., V.iii.3.
