2.4.4 वायुक्रियाधिकरणम्
वाक्यात् प्रसिद्धेश्च विशंक्यतेऽयं न वायुमात्रं न च तत्क्रिया वा ।
प्राणस्तु देहादिभृदेव वायुः प्राणस्य वाक्योश्च पृथक्त्वशब्दात् ॥ 38 ॥

2.4.4 वायुक्रियाधिकरणम् It is doubted, on the strength of the passage, यः प्राणः sa वायुः1 and on common usage that प्राण may be either the atmospheric air, on the functions of air such as inhalation or exhalation. This view is criticised by stating that प्राण is that which supports the physical body and the sense - organs.
