2.2.8 उत्पत्त्यसंभवाधिकरणम्
जीवः परस्मात्तु मनस्तु जीवात् इत्यादिभिः वेदविरोधदृष्टेः ।
स्यात् पञ्चरात्रं न सत् इत्यसारं व्यूहाभिधानात् प्रतिषेधतश्च ॥ 22 ॥

कपिलकणभुग्बुद्धार्हन्तो हताः सह शंभुना कुलिशनिशितैरेतैस्तर्कैः

2.2.8 उत्पत्त्यसंभवाधिकरणम् It is contended that the system of पाञ्चरात्र can not be a valid one since it speaks of the individual soul, namely सङ्कर्षण as originating from the Supreme and that from that individual soul originates mind, namely, Pradyumna.1 This is against the vedic doctrine and therefore this system should be discarded. This contention can not hold good. The manifestations of नीव are only the vynha-s, that is, emanations or incarnations of the Supreme only, and not the creation of the नीव The पाञ्चरात्र texts themselves, discard such a view (Therefore the पाञ्चरात्र system is valid in every respect).
