1.3.4 ईक्षतिकर्माधिकरणम्
भुवोऽन्तरिक्षात् अधिकोपदिष्टो यो ब्रह्मलोकः स विधातृलोकः ।
तत्र त्रिमात्रप्रणवानुचिन्त्यो धातेत्यसत् स्यात् अमृताभिधाद्यैः ॥ 32 ॥

1.3.4 ईक्षतिकर्माधिकरणम् It is argued that in the text of the प्रश्नोपनिषद् (V.5) ‘He who meditates upon the supreme person with the syllable om consisting of the three मात्र-s . . . . . . . . is taken up to the world of Brahman (Brahmaloka)’, the word Brahmaloka referred to as over and above this world and the heaven is only the world of हिरण्यगर्भ and the person who is to be meditated upon with the syllable Om consisting of the three मात्र-s is only हिरण्यगर्भ. This view is not sound because the person who is to be meditated upon is referred to by terms such immortal, peaceful and the like (which are applicable only to the Supreme Brahman1).
