[[९७]] In the fourth yāma he does sankalpam as follows:-" Krtancha svādhyāyēna archayishyāmi." Then he repeats the bala mantra “Bhagavānēva svādhyāyākhyam karma karayati” and does satvikatyāgam. He then goes on reading about upanishads, the meanings and applications of the meanings of mūlamantra, studying Śrībhashya, reading of grandhas about God and his doings, Śrīmad Ramayana, Bhagavadgītā, and Bharata, and doing tatva nirnayas with Brahmacharis and disciples.
