panta amAtya (1650–1716), the ably effected transition in times of trouble, who authored the AjJNApatra, who assisted shivAji, rAjArAm (as his regent when he was in flight), sambhAji, tArAbAyi, who instituted the “capture land from mughal-s, then own it” policy to encourage fightback, who adapted the policy of selling forts to the mughals (only to recapture them).
