ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ-ರಾಜು-ಸಾರ

ಶತಾವಧಾನಿ ..ಶತಾವತಾರಿಯೇ ಸರಿ..!!

Amongst the many that I countered and encountered in the precints of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, these two young men, who have had an enormous impact on me, and the connect with them made my own life, envlivening and enchanting in its own way..!!

The one who would mesmerizingly talk, and the other one, majestically walk…!!

One is Dr.Shatavadhani Ganesh and the other one is Ghanapati. Rajgopal Sharma. Both of them, were such childish youngsters when I met them but then, I knew that they had something very special in them.

Ganesh would talk as if nothing mattered of the world, while Rajgopal sharma would walk with that stride, as if the whole world belonged to him..!!

Today, when I look back, I cannot understand why we met these sort of people in our own life’s journey. We may not be related by blood, we may not know each other from the start, but is that nature or divine design, had its own act and play, to put us together in such wonderful relations by heart.. as they say : “The mind defines, decides, doubts and divides- only the heart truly binds.”

Yet again, as always I say that that, it is not years of association that strikes a relationship but then, little did I know that God has endowed me with such Manikyas… !!

An young friend, G N Shashikiran has written all about him, is only a reflection of rays of shashi, but not the fire of a sun, that I have encountred in Shataadhani Ganesh, which I shall ‘reel & reveal’, at a later day..!!

While we were basking in the glory of such sparkling lights, Shashikiran has reflected in his book “vykati-vibhuti”,all about Ganesh, which I cannot but just repeat it:

ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಸಂವರ್ಧಿಸಲು ಗಣೇಶ್ ದಶಕಗಳಿಂದ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಶೀಲರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಬಗೆಬಗೆಯ ವಿಷಮ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶಗಳು ಎದುರಾದಾಗ ಮೌಲ್ಯನಿಷ್ಠೆಯನ್ನು ಮೆರೆದು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಹೆಬ್ಬಂಡೆಯಂತೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬೌದ್ಧಿಕ ವಿಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಅಪಸವ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೊಡೆದುಹಾಕಲು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಕ್ತಿಸರ್ವಸ್ವವನ್ನೂ ಮೀಸಲಿರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಅಂಜಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾರ ಉಪಸರ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗೆ ಕಾಲಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ತಲೆದೋರುವ ಪ್ರತಿರೋಧವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಖರತೆಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೇ ಅಂತರಂಗದ ಮಾರ್ದವವನ್ನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಕಲೆ-ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೆತ್ತುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ವಿಸ್ಮಯವೇ ಸರಿ.

ಮಾನುಷ ಗುಣಗಳ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿ, ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯ ಸೆಲೆಯಾಗಿ, ವಿದ್ವತ್ತೆಯ ಒರೆಗಲ್ಲಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮೊಡನಿರುವ ಗಣೇಶರ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವೂ ಇದ್ದೇವೆಂಬ ಧನ್ಯತೆ ನಮ್ಮದು.

ಧನಾತ್ಮಕ ಗುಣಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡರಿಸಿರುವಂತೆಯೇ ಶಶಿಕಿರಣ್ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ - “ಅವರೇನೂ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣರಲ್ಲ, ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಂದುಕೊರತೆಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಕೆಲವು ಲೋಪ-ದೋಷಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಉದಾ: ಅವರ ನಸನಸೆಯ, ಅವಸರದ ಅತಿ ನಾಜೂಕಿನ ಸ್ವಭಾವ; ಕೋಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಆಗಾಗ ರೇಗುವ, ವಾದಿಸುವ ಸ್ವಭಾವ; ಬದಲಿಸಲಾಗದ ಇಷ್ಟಾನಿಷ್ಟಗಳ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ, ಲೌಕಿಕ ವ್ಯವಹಾರದಲ್ಲಿನ ನಿರಾಸಕ್ತಿ, ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ. ಇವು ತೀರಾ ಸಾಧಾರಣವಾದವು; ಬಹು ಮಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವಂಥವು. ಲೋಪದೋಷಗಳಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಮನುಷ್ಯರೇ ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ಕಾಫಿ, ಮಸಾಲಾ ಟೀ, ಕರಿದ ತಿಂಡಿಗಳ ವ್ಯಾಮೋಹ, ಅನ್ನರಸಿಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಕಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಪ್ರವೀಣತೆಗಳ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖ ಕುತೂಹಲಕರವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕೃತಿಯೇ ಮುಂದಿರುವಾಗ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವುದು ಅನಗತ್ಯ ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಹೇಳುವುದಾದರೆ, ಅವರ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ವಿಶೇಷ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳಾದ ಆಶು ಕವಿತಾ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ, ವಿದ್ವತ್ತು, ವಾಗ್ದತೆಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಘನತೆ, ಗಾಂಭೀರ್ಯಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಬುದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹತ್ತಿರವಾಗಿಸಿದರೆ, ಬೆಚ್ಚನೆಯ ಅವರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ್ಯ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಆಪ್ತವಾಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

While we began in Bharatiya vidya bhavan, even today I have a great relationship with him, so much so, that he not only a guide, and a mentor but he make sure that he keeps a watch on my journey and time to time, he would give his own advise appropriately, what I have to do, or not to do, many times scolding too !!

Today ,when I recollect as to what is the greatest resource that I hold in my fold, it is my connect with Ganesh, and I know for sure that his shoulders are always there for me, and he would give me anything that I would want, without batting an eyelid.

I will only say that it is a gift of God that we have b,,bound with such realtionships and it is these people, who have made me to invest time and dedication, in search of higher realities and as an acestic wonderer, which gives a purpose and meaning to our own existenance of life..!!

Thank you God, for having guided me into such a wonderful company with whom, life can be nothing but a wonderful : “Congregation, Consecration & Celebration”
