shUdra-gotras

Gotra system of Śūdras as per Śeṣakṛṣṇa’s Śūdrācāraśiromaṇi -

1. Using the name, of some popular person born in a good lineage, as the Gotra.

or

2. In case of being born from a duly wedded Dvija father & a Śūdra mother, using the Gotra of the father.

or

3. Using the Gotra of the Upadeśaka (instructor) Brāhmaṇa as one’s Gotra.

or

4. Using ‘Kāśyapa’ as the Gotra.
