देवेषु विश्वासटिप्पन्यः

namaH su te nirR^ite vishvarUpe
ayasmayaM vi chR^itA bandham etam |
yamena tvaM yamyA saMvidAnA
uttamaM nAkam adhi rohayemam ||

devI nirR^iti with her emblematic animals the ass and the dove kapota nairR^ita. The ritualist sanctifies the sacrificial ground with offerings to vAyu, varuNa, nirR^iti and rudra before beginning.
At the end of the fire rite, the ritualist invokes agnAviShNU to take the negatives and spilt ghee as an offering to place the enemy in the lap of nirR^iti, where he attains dissolution.
