तोमारेइ करिय़ाछि

तोमारेइ+++(=त्वां)+++ करिय़ाछि+++(=कृतवान्)+++ जीबनेर ध्रुब-तारा,
ए समुद्रे आर कभु हब नाको पथ-हारा।
येथा+++(=यत्र)+++ आमि याइ नाको, तुमि प्रकाशित थाको,
आकुल नय़न-जले ढालो गो किरण-धारा ॥

तब मुख सदा मने जागितेछे संगोपने,
तिलेक+++(=क्षणमात्र)+++ अन्तर+++(→अदृश्य)+++ हले - ना हेरि कूल-किनारा।
कखनो+++(=किंक्षणो)+++ बिपथे यदि भ्रमिते चाहे ए हृदि
अमनि+++(→अकस्मात्)+++ ओ मुख हेरि+++(=देखकर)+++ शरमे से हय़+++(=होय)+++ सारा।

You I’ve taken as my life’s lodestar,
Amidst this ocean I won’t be adrift ever.
You illuminate the place that I can ne’er access,
In my tearful eyes agog, You spill forth radiance.

Forever Thy face shines bright in the heart secretly;
The moment that vision’s lost, there’s no solace for me.
If ever my wanton mind wants to stray around
I behold Thy face, and my shame knows no bound!
