2169 Verse 3551

अकनिष्ठे पुरे रम्ये शुद्धावासविवर्जिते ।
बुद्ध्यन्ते तत्र संबुद्धा निर्मितस्त्विह बुध्यते ॥ ३५५१ ॥

akaniṣṭhe pure ramye śuddhāvāsavivarjite |
buddhyante tatra saṃbuddhā nirmitastviha budhyate || 3551 ||

‘It is in the delightful city of Akaniṣṭha, free from the habitation of unclean beings,—that the Buddhas become awakened; and what is awakened here (in this world) is only their own creation’.—(3551)

Kamalaśīla

Akaniṣṭha’ is the name of a certain region;—‘free from the habitation of unclean Beings’—‘Aśuddhāvāsakāyika’ are celestial beings;—here only such people dwell who are noble and pure;—on the top of this rests the Māheśvara-Bhavana (the Palace of the Supreme Lord);—it is in this Palace that there appear the Bodhisattvas who have passed through the ‘ten stages’ and reached the highest;—what is perceived here in the world is only what is created under their supervision.

Such is the assertion met with in the scriptures.—(3551)

It might be argued by the Opponent that—“We do not admit of what has been asserted here”.
