व्यक्तीनामपि नो सौक्ष्म्याज्जातिधर्मावधारणम् ।
तद्वशेन न वर्णानां व्यापित्वेऽपि क्रमग्रहः ॥ २६८७ ॥vyaktīnāmapi no saukṣmyājjātidharmāvadhāraṇam |
tadvaśena na varṇānāṃ vyāpitve’pi kramagrahaḥ || 2687 ||The cognition of the properties of the universal cannot be due to the subtle nature of the individuals; not can there be, through this, the cognition of order among the letters, even though these are all-pervading.—(2687)
Kamalaśīla
It has been argued by the Mīmāṃsaka under Text 2297, that—“The individual Articulations themselves being extremely subtle, etc. etc.”.
