तद्गवाश्वादयः शब्दा नित्यसम्बन्धयोगिनः ।
सङ्केतसव्यपेक्षत्वान्नैव गाव्यादिशब्दवत् ॥ २६६७ ॥tadgavāśvādayaḥ śabdā nityasambandhayoginaḥ |
saṅketasavyapekṣatvānnaiva gāvyādiśabdavat || 2667 ||For these reasons, all such words as ‘cow’, ‘horse’ and so forth cannot have any eternal relationships,—because they are dependent upon convention,—like such words as ‘gāvī’ and the like.—(2667)
Kamalaśīla
Having thus summed up the ‘Inconclusiveness’ of Presumption, the Author now sums up the argument to the contrary, annulling that Presumption:—[see verse 2667 above]
‘Tat’—Therefore.
‘Nityasambandhayoginaḥ’—to be construed with ‘na’.
