अन्यथैवोपपन्नत्वाच्छक्तिर्बोद्धुं न शक्यते ।
शब्दात्सामयिकाद्यस्मात्प्रतिपत्तिरनाकुला ॥ २६५२ ॥anyathaivopapannatvācchaktirboddhuṃ na śakyate |
śabdātsāmayikādyasmātpratipattiranākulā || 2652 ||The potency cannot be cognised in the manner suggested; because the phenomenon is quite explicable otherwise; for instance, there is no difficulty in the comprehension of the meaning of the word from the word itself as aided by convention.—(2652)
