क्रमेण जायमानाश्च धियस्तद्विषयाः स्फुटम् ।
तस्याप्याहुः क्रमं तासामक्रमो ह्यन्यथा भवेत् ॥ २६३१ ॥krameṇa jāyamānāśca dhiyastadviṣayāḥ sphuṭam |
tasyāpyāhuḥ kramaṃ tāsāmakramo hyanyathā bhavet || 2631 ||The cognitions of things clearly appear in succession; hence they declare that (relationship) also to be successive otherwise there would be no succession.—(2631)
Kamalaśīla
The following might be urged—“The Perpetual Flux is not admitted by us; why then should you say that it must be different on account of Perpetual Flux?”
The answer to this is as follows:—[see verse 2631 above]:
‘Tasyāpi’—stands for the Relationships.
‘Āhuḥ’—they (Buddhists) explain it as such.
‘Otherwise, etc. etc.’—i.e. there would be no succession in the Cognitions also.—(2631)
