पर्युदासात्मकाभ्यां चेन्नाभ्यां नित्यत्वमिष्यते ।
तौ तद्भावात्मकत्वेन व्यपेक्षेते स्वसाधनम् ॥ २४३४ ॥
नित्यत्वं वस्तुरूपं यत्तदसाधयतां न तत् ।
स्वयं भवति तत्सिद्धिः पूर्वपक्षद्वये हते ॥ २४३५ ॥paryudāsātmakābhyāṃ cennābhyāṃ nityatvamiṣyate |
tau tadbhāvātmakatvena vyapekṣete svasādhanam || 2434 ||
nityatvaṃ vasturūpaṃ yattadasādhayatāṃ na tat |
svayaṃ bhavati tatsiddhiḥ pūrvapakṣadvaye hate || 2435 ||If the two characters meant to be the reasons for eternality are of the nature of relative negation,—then, partaking of the nature of affirmation, they do stand in need of proof for themselves.—Thus, for people who do not wish to prove ‘eternality’ as a real entity, the said eternality does not become proved merely by the rejection of the two contrary views.—(2434-2435)
