तच्च प्रत्यक्षतुल्यत्वाद्वैदिकं बलवत्तरम् ।
न शक्यमनुमानेन कथंचिदपि बाधितुम् ॥ २१०७ ॥
प्रत्यक्षपक्षनिक्षिप्तं शास्त्रमेव यतः स्थितम् ।
बलवत्तरमित्येतदनुमानस्य बाधकम् ॥ २१०८ ॥tacca pratyakṣatulyatvādvaidikaṃ balavattaram |
na śakyamanumānena kathaṃcidapi bādhitum || 2107 ||
pratyakṣapakṣanikṣiptaṃ śāstrameva yataḥ sthitam |
balavattaramityetadanumānasya bādhakam || 2108 ||“The knowledge derived from the Veda is of the same degree as perception, and hence stronger than inference; consequently, it can never be annulled by inference.”—(2107)
“Inasmuch as the Veda has been placed in the same position as perception, it is stronger than, and hence sets aside, inference.”—(2108)
