तामेव वासनां चेतःसन्ततावधिकृत्य तत् ।
अस्ति कर्मेति निर्दिष्टं भक्त्या मूलविनाशवत् ॥ १८५१ ॥tāmeva vāsanāṃ cetaḥsantatāvadhikṛtya tat |
asti karmeti nirdiṣṭaṃ bhaktyā mūlavināśavat || 1851 ||In view of the said impression being attributed to the ‘series of cognitions’, the lord has said that ‘there is karma’, which assertion is figurative; as the principal (of the debt) is said to be ‘not destroyed (lost)’.—(1851)

When in the case of a Debt, when the accrued interest has become equal to the Principal, the Principal actually disappears; yet it is said to be ‘not lost In the same way the Karma, Act, also, though past and gone, is spoken of as ‘not gone and destroyed—(1851)
