उपमानप्रमाणस्य गौस्त्वालम्बनमिष्यते ।
स्वसत्तयैव चालम्ब्यं स्वज्ञानजनकं मतम् ॥ १६३३ ॥
तत्किमत्रान्यया शक्त्या यद्गत्यर्थमपेक्ष्यते ।
अर्थापत्तेः प्रमाणत्वमुपमानसमाश्रयम् ॥ १६३४ ॥upamānapramāṇasya gaustvālambanamiṣyate |
svasattayaiva cālambyaṃ svajñānajanakaṃ matam || 1633 ||
tatkimatrānyayā śaktyā yadgatyarthamapekṣyate |
arthāpatteḥ pramāṇatvamupamānasamāśrayam || 1634 ||The cow has been held to be the objective basis of analogical cognition; and it has been held that the objective basis brings about its own cognition, by its mere presence. under the circumstances, what would be the use of the ‘potency’, for the apprehension whereof presumption based upon analogical cognition is required as a distinct mean’s of cognition?—(1633-1634)
