आगमाद्धि स सम्बन्धं वेत्ति सामान्यगोचरम् ।
विशिष्टविषयं तं तु विजानात्युपमाश्रयात् ॥ १५६९ ॥āgamāddhi sa sambandhaṃ vetti sāmānyagocaram |
viśiṣṭaviṣayaṃ taṃ tu vijānātyupamāśrayāt || 1569 ||“Through verbal assertion, the man cognises the relation in a general way; and through analogy he cognises it as pertaining to a particular object.”—(1569)
