विज्ञातार्थप्रकाशत्वान्न प्रमाणमियं ततः ।
प्रमाणान्तरभावस्तु कुत एव भविष्यति ॥ १५५० ॥vijñātārthaprakāśatvānna pramāṇamiyaṃ tataḥ |
pramāṇāntarabhāvastu kuta eva bhaviṣyati || 1550 ||Remembrance cannot be a form of valid cognition, because it envisages what is already known. How then could it be regarded as a distinct form of valid cognition?—(1550)

The following might be urged—“Analogical Cognition may be of the nature of Remembrance; but why should Remembrance itself not be regarded as a valid form of Cognition?”
