0775 Verse 1068

अर्थान्तरनिवृत्त्याऽहुर्विशिष्टानिति यत्पुनः ।
प्रोक्तं लक्षणकारेण तत्रार्थोऽयं विवक्षितः ॥ १०६८ ॥

arthāntaranivṛttyā’hurviśiṣṭāniti yatpunaḥ |
proktaṃ lakṣaṇakāreṇa tatrārtho’yaṃ vivakṣitaḥ || 1068 ||

As for the statement made by the author of the lakṣaṇa—that ‘words express things qualified by the exclusion of other things’, what it means is as follows.—(1068)
