नहि दीपादिसद्भावाज्जायन्ते यादृशा इमे ।
विज्ञानजनने योग्या घटाद्या जातयस्तथा ॥ ८५२ ॥

nahi dīpādisadbhāvājjāyante yādṛśā ime |
vijñānajanane yogyā ghaṭādyā jātayastathā || 852 ||

By the mere presence of the lamp, the lamp does not become capable of producing any notions; so also the universals like ‘jar’ (cannot become capable of producing notions).—(852)
