आगमे विश्वासटिप्पन्यः

एवं यश्च गजत्वादिसमवायो गजादिषु ।
गोत्वादिजातिभेदानां स एव स्वाश्रयेष्वपि ॥ ८४० ॥

evaṃ yaśca gajatvādisamavāyo gajādiṣu |
gotvādijātibhedānāṃ sa eva svāśrayeṣvapi || 840 ||

Similarly, the inherence of the universal ‘elephant’ in the elephant should be one and the same as the inherence of the various universals ‘cow’ and the rest in their respective substrata.—(840.)
