सङ्ख्यादेर्द्रव्यतोऽन्यत्वमेवं चेत्प्रतिपाद्यते ।
आश्रयासिद्धता हेतोः सङ्ख्यादीनामसिद्धितः ॥ ६८२ ॥saṅkhyāderdravyato’nyatvamevaṃ cetpratipādyate |
āśrayāsiddhatā hetoḥ saṅkhyādīnāmasiddhitaḥ || 682 ||Thus then, if what is meant to be asserted is that number and the rest are other than (different from) substance,—then the reason becomes open to the fallacy of ‘having no substratum’,—because number and the rest are not admitted at all.—(682)
Kamalaśīla
That is, what the other party seeks to prove is not that they are not non-different, but that they are different.—(682)
