अन्येऽपि सर्वभावाः स्युस्तथैव समवायिनः ।
अविशेषान्न तस्यायमुपकारी मतो यदि ॥ ४०६ ॥anye’pi sarvabhāvāḥ syustathaiva samavāyinaḥ |
aviśeṣānna tasyāyamupakārī mato yadi || 406 ||In case the ‘inherent’ be not something helpful to that wherein it inheres, then all things would be equally inherent, as there could be nothing to differentiate one from the other.—(406)
Kamalaśīla
‘Equally’,—because, in the matter of being not helpful, it could not be differentiated from the thing that is meant by the opponent (to be inherent).—(406)
