सृष्टेः प्रागनुकम्प्यानामसत्त्वे नोपपद्यते ।
अनुकम्पाऽपि यद्योगाद्धाताऽयं परिकल्प्यते ॥ १५८ ॥sṛṣṭeḥ prāganukampyānāmasattve nopapadyate |
anukampā’pi yadyogāddhātā’yaṃ parikalpyate || 158 ||Further, inasmuch as, prior to creation, the objects of compassion would not be there,—there could not be even that compassion through the presence op which the ordainer is assumed.—(158)
Kamalaśīla
Further, prior to creation,—there is no entity towards whom he would he compassionate;—and through the presence of this ‘compassion’, the Ordainer—Creator—is assumed.—(158)
