formula, the recitation of which is the
primary religious act for devotees
(bhakta) belonging to ISKCON
(International Society for Krishna
Consciousness), a group more popularly
known as the Hare Krishnas. The mantra
itself is “Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna,
Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare; Hare Rama,
Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.”
