Gaudapada

(2) (5th–8th c.) Philosopher and
commentator in the Samkhya school,
one of the six schools of classical Hindu
philosophy. Gaudapada is best known for
his commentary on the Samkhyakarikas,
the foundational text of the Samkhya
school, which is ascribed to the philosopher Ishvarakrishna.
