शीतस्पर्शवत्यः आपः ।

शीतस्पर्शवत्यः आपः ।
दीपिका
अपां लक्षणमाह शीतेति। उत्पन्नविनष्टजलेऽव्याप्तिवारणाय शीतस्पर्शसमानाधिकरणद्रव्यत्वापरजातिमत्वं विवक्षितन्। “शीतं शिलातलम्” इत्यादौ जलसम्बन्धादेव शीतस्पर्शभानमिति नातिव्याप्तिः। अन्यत्सर्वं पूर्वरीत्या व्याख्येयम्।

ताः द्विविधाः नित्या अनित्याश्च ।

The extraordinary sense organ that cognizes the sense of taste is the watery sense organ. The sense organ exist at the tip / fore-part of the tongue.
