an incorruptible judge in the peshvA dominion, who rebuked mAdhavarAv when he took to varNadharma to the neglect of his guNadharma - rAjadharma [TW], who refused any lure in deviating from justice - as in the case of rAghoba [VA], declined a royal gift made to his wife and an official residence, an authority in veda-s, vedAnga-s and purANa-s, renowned for his knowledge of law (including British law), philosophy, and the theories of statecraft and political science, who debated for five days with Shri Varadendra Teertha and gave up his house as a mark of respect, later read Quran and Bible.
